PROCESS

Field Botanical Surveys

Water Quality Analysis
Parameters such as turbidity, nutrient concentration, and the presence of contaminants are assessed to understand the impact of human activities on water quality and, consequently, on the health of the wetland.

Site Topography
This influences the hydrological regime and can indicate the wetland's vulnerability to environmental changes. Physical characteristics of the soil, such as texture and composition, are assessed to understand the soil's ability to retain water and support vegetation.

OF RESULTS

A wetland characterization report is prepared. This report details the geographic location, history, biodiversity, hydrological characteristics, and water quality of the site. Botanical surveys, topography and soil assessments, and identification of potential threats are included. The report concludes with recommendations for conservation and management. Enhanced with maps, graphs, and photographs, it provides a comprehensive scientific basis for informed decisions on wetland preservation.
